  The Start-up inventory includes complete training kit for babies, hundreds of brochures and marketing materials, complete training kit for toddlers, Baby Sign Language book by Kindersigns Founder Diane Ryan and many many more; this package includes everything we feel you will need to get you started in your own business.

Note: Many of these items included are custom-made for Kindersigns™ Canada and therefore not available through the retail trade.

• Complete Training Kit:
  
  We will go through everything! You will be provided with training kit for babies and also for toddlers. You will be provided with a 2 hour over the phone training by Kindersigns Founder Diane Ryan and / or by the Kindersigns Support Team. The system is based on self-study, and can be learnt by practicing the training kits provided to you. The system is easy to understand, the success of the system, mainly focuses on marketing the system within your territory. Kindersigns Canada and its support team will provide training on marketing the system. The support team will monitor your progress and provide on-going continuous support for at least six months from franchise agreement signing date.

Apart from the above, brochures will also be provided for you to start marketing the system from week one onwards.

• Marketing Information:
  
  You will receive valuable marketing information as well. An informative collection of articles will help you gain the knowledge necessary to advertise 'smartly' to your target market. Avoid the common pitfalls and mistakes made by many new business owners. We also explain what other franchisees have done in their business that has worked, as well as informing you of the things that have not worked. You can learn valuable lessons from our past successes and mistakes.
  
  
• In-depth Sales / marketing Manual:
  
  A marketing booklet will be given to you containing all this information in an easy-to-follow, step-by-step binder format. It takes a lot of important information and streamlines it into a very easy-to-follow package.
  
  
• Personalized Web page and Kindersigns e-mail address:
  
  Each franchisee will receive a personalized webpage on the Kindersigns Canada website as well as a virtual e-mail address. Each web page will reflect your personality and feature a picture of you, your family (if you like), you doing your work, and/or some pictures of your actual work. Each page will also include a direct link of a map to your house to make it easier for your customers to find you.
  
  
• Archived Logo/Artwork:
  
  All trademarked Kindersigns artwork will be given to you in an electronic as well as other professional formats for you to use in your advertising, promotions, marketing, and signage. There will be no extra setup or graphic art charges when ordering your business or postcards. You will also save setup and design charges in vehicle signage with these professional file formats.
  
  
• Kindersigns templates:
  
  You will receive a CD containing all our templates for gift certificates, letterhead, advertising/promotional letters, labels, etc.
  
  
• Photos:
  
  Also on a CD are 50+ photos of product samples. You can use these to make your own display albums and/or in your advertising.
  
  
• Use of the KINDERSIGNS trademarked name, logo and goodwill:
  
  The Kindersigns logo is a registered trademark. It was developed by a graphic artist and successfully portrays Kindersigns as a fun, energetic business with a strong emphasis on babies. Franchisees will benefit from using the name Kindersigns. It has become a trusted, recognized name throughout the world, especially in North America.
  
  All templates for brochures, business cards and signage have been developed by industry professionals and are available for you to use at no additional charge. All templates have been archived and will be available through internet for you to use at no additional charge. The cost savings for a new business is monumental as use of graphic artists and printing setup fees are quite expensive.
  
  
• Ongoing support:
  
  You will belong to a group of people with similar interests who share a common goal in achieving a balance between family and career. Everyone is encouraged to share accomplishments and success stories with others in the Franchise team. The basis for our forum is not only for support, but to learn from each other's experiences. There is strength in numbers. Of course, head office support will always be available to assist in any way we can.

Complete Franchise Packages are still available across Canada beginning at $10,000. This price does include all training kits for babies and toddlers, brochures, marketing materials and full training program and support (as well as everything mentioned above).

Our goal is to save a busy Mom a lot of valuable time, energy and aggravation from researching and beginning a business from scratch. We have basically done all the homework, legwork, developing and planning for you. We also have experience with what forms of advertising and promotions work (as well as what does not work so well). You can literally learn from our mistakes.

We give you the knowledge, tools, training and support to help you begin and operate your own business!

Purchasing a legitimate Franchise also affords you much security and legal protection. Kindersigns TM Canada franchise documentation fully complies with all Federal and Provincial Franchise laws.

Don't forget of course, about the benefits of belonging to a fast-growing network of parents just like yourself. Our private forum works well in providing members with ideas, unique concepts and ongoing information and support necessary to develop and manage their business.

We are very proud of the Kindersigns TM website. Much time and thought is taken to constantly revise and update it on a regular basis. Our site has recently won some web awards under the categories of ease-of-use, setup and design. Each Kindersigns location is encouraged to use the website as much as possible. It is a strong advertising tool!

A personalized web page will be constructed for each franchise and a link provided under the icon 'Find the location nearest to you'. There will be a $150/year setup and maintenance fee for this service. (This represents the only fee payable to Kindersigns TM Canada Head Office after the startup package is purchased).

Boundaries to each franchised territory will be outlined in your franchise agreement based on population and birth statistics for your area. You alone will have the exclusive right to advertise and market Kindersigns Products and services within your territory.

In an effort to keep this unique opportunity as affordable as possible, we do NOT collect an on-going percentage of your sales, royalty and franchise fees.

In order to abide by Canadian Franchise Law, we must have, at minimum, an annual set fee as well as pre-determined renewal fees for the duration of each Franchise Agreement.

At present, our annual 'Administrative Fee' is $150.00 and our 'Renewal Fee' is $3000 every 3 years.

Please Note - Kindersigns will, in the future, revise our Franchise Agreement to reach market value and include royalties and head office purchasing requirements. Franchises purchased under the current agreement however, will remain protected against any such changes for the duration of their contract).

Each Kindersigns TM business will operate independently. The time you commit to your business is entirely up to you. You alone can control your personal income level. You will not be asked to provide us with any financial information whatsoever.

You may need a bigger room to comfortably sit, seat and train atleast 10 parents with their babies to run this business from your home. Most of the existing franchisees prefer to rent a room, in their local churches, public libraries, shopping malls etc. There may be some rent payable to public libraries and churches, but we find that, the shopping malls like Toys R Us, Sears etc provide room free of cost.

You are, of course, the only person who can ultimately decide if owning your own business and working from home is the best decision for you and your family.
